Hesta is creating a new benchmark in women’s health, delivering exceptional care at every life stage. As we advance towards this goal, we are committed to closing the women’s health gap — beginning with pregnancy and postnatal care as our initial focus.
Every year, 75 million years of women’s lives are lost due to poor health or early death. This gap limits potential, drives inequality, and reflects a healthcare system that wasn’t built for women. We are changing that.
Our first mission is to reimagine care for mothers and birthing parents through compassionate care, clinical excellence, and technology.

We’re looking for an exceptionally organised and driven Project Manager to lead a feasibility study funded by Innovate UK, exploring both the technical and commercial viability of a new digital health solution.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of health tech, research, and innovation — shaping the R&D foundation of a fast-moving startup that’s reimagining women’s health from the ground up.
You’ll be responsible for managing a multi-stakeholder project that involves academia, clinicians, technologists, and commercial partners. You’ll bring structure to ambiguity, move projects forward in complex systems, and make sure things get done — even when navigating large bureaucratic organisations.
Lead and coordinate the Innovate UK feasibility study, ensuring milestones, deliverables and reporting are on track.
Manage communication and alignment between internal teams, external research partners, and funding stakeholders.
Create clarity in ambiguity — translating evolving ideas into clear timelines, responsibilities, and next steps.
Track progress and outcomes across technical and commercial workstreams, ensuring the project meets Innovate UK standards.
Prepare concise documentation including project updates, meeting notes, and interim reports.
Identify risks and opportunities, proactively solving problems and maintaining momentum.
Contribute to strategy for how this feasibility work translates into future product and research development.
Collaborate cross-functionally — with product, research, operations, and clinical teams — gaining exposure to the broader business and learning from the full Hesta team.
Demonstrated project management experience — ideally in health tech, academic research, innovation projects, or similar complex environments.
Proven ability to drive progress independently, with strong ownership and accountability.
Outstanding organisation and attention to detail — you love structure, planning, and clear documentation.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with diverse teams across organisations.
A creative, “make it happen” mindset, able to move fast while maintaining rigour.
Interest or experience in digital health, women’s health, or R&D environments.
Bonus: Experience managing Innovate UK or other grant-funded projects.
The chance to work on a groundbreaking Innovate UK-funded R&D project within a mission-driven startup.
Exposure to the core workings of a fast-growing health tech company — from product to operations to partnerships.
A collaborative, ambitious team deeply committed to closing the women’s health gap.
Flexible, part-time engagement (1–2 days/week) to suit academic or consulting schedules.
The opportunity to shape real-world impact in women’s health innovation.
You’re someone who thrives on bringing structure to chaos, believes in evidence-driven innovation, and is motivated by the chance to make a real difference in healthcare.
We strongly encourage applications from people of colour, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, parents, carers, and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
If there’s anything we can do to accommodate your specific situation, please let us know.
