Hesta is creating a new benchmark in women’s health, delivering exceptional care at every life stage. As we advance towards this goal, we are committed to closing the women’s health gap, beginning with pregnancy and postpartum as our initial focus.
75 million years of women’s lives are lost every year due to poor health or early death. This gap limits potential, drives inequality, and reflects a healthcare system that wasn’t built for women. We are changing that.
Our first mission is to reimagine care for mothers through compassionate care, clinical excellence and technology. We’re looking for a broad, hands-on Marketing & Growth Intern. The role is designed for someone who wants to learn by doing and be closely involved in the realities of building an early-stage startup.
You’ll work directly with the co-founder to help define and execute Hesta Health’s early marketing and growth efforts, from how we show up on social media, to what content we create, to how we start understanding what’s working through early analytics. You’ll help set up the foundations, experiment with ideas, and iterate quickly.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is excited by the opportunity to shape a brand and growth strategy from the ground up, rather than slotting into a narrowly defined remit. It offers real responsibility, close founder exposure, and the chance to help build a company from day one.
Job Type: Part time paid internship (3 days per week, 3-6 month duration - length to be negotiated). Flexible working patterns are welcome. Possibility (not guaranteed) for role to move to perm.
Location: Remote first with some in person hours in our office in London Victoria
Start Date: as soon as possible
Reports to: Amanda Cupples, Co-Founder
You’ll be involved across a wide range of early-stage marketing and growth activities, including:
Social Media & Content
Managing and growing Hesta Health’s social media presence (e.g. Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok)
Creating content calendars and posting regularly
Writing captions, short-form copy, and simple long-form content
Engaging with the community and responding to comments and messages
Content Strategy & Brand
Helping shape Hesta’s tone of voice and content strategy
Researching what resonates in postnatal health, femtech, and wellness
Turning ideas, research, and founder input into clear, compelling content
Asset Creation
Creating simple visual assets (e.g. social graphics, carousels, basic decks)
Working with tools like Canva or similar
Managing and updating the Hesta Health website
Comms & PR Support
Helping draft newsletters, announcements, and updates
Supporting early PR efforts (e.g. research, outreach lists, drafting pitches)
Assisting with partnerships and community collaborations
Growth, Analytics & Experimentation
Helping set up and maintain early marketing and website analytics (e.g. social performance, basic website metrics) and tooling
Supporting small growth experiments and campaigns
Tracking what performs well and sharing insights to inform future decisions
Learning how early-stage startups test, measure, and iterate with limited resources
You don’t need to have done all of this before. Curiosity, initiative, and good judgement matter most.
You might be a great fit if you:
Are a student, recent graduate, or career-switcher interested in marketing, communications, or growth
Are excited by early-stage startups and wearing multiple hats
Enjoy creating content and thinking about how brands connect with people
Have an eye for great design
Have strong written communication skills
Are organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently
Care about women’s health, postnatal care, or impact-driven work
Are comfortable working with basic analytics and performance data (e.g. social insights, website metrics) and using this to inform decisions. You don’t need to be an expert, but you should be confident working with numbers and dashboards
Have curiosity and enthusiasm for healthtech, femtech, or emerging technologies, and are interested in how technology can improve healthcare experiences and outcomes
Nice to have (but not required):
Experience running social media accounts
Basic design skills and familiarity with tools like Figma and Canva
Experience with tools like Google Analytics, Wix analytics, or social media insights
Prior exposure to healthcare, startups, or tech-enabled services
Startup-ready - You’re resourceful, thrive in ambiguity, and know how to move fast without breaking trust
