About Hesta Health

Hesta is creating a new benchmark in women’s health, delivering exceptional care at every life stage. As we advance towards this goal, we are committed to closing the women’s health gap, beginning with pregnancy and postnatal as our initial focus. 75 million years of women’s lives are lost every year due to poor health or early death. This gap limits potential, drives inequality, and reflects a healthcare system that wasn’t built for women. We are changing that.

About Us

75 million years of women’s lives are lost every year due to poor health or early death. This gap limits potential, drives inequality, and reflects a healthcare system that wasn’t built for women. We are changing that.

Our first mission is to reimagine care for mothers and birthing parents through compassionate care, clinical excellence and technology.

We’re looking for

A GMC-registered, post CCT GP with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding care to women and birthing parents in the two years after pregnancy.

You’ll combine clinical expertise with empathy and integrity, ensuring every woman feels heard, safe and supported during one of the most important stages of life.

This is the first version of the Hesta service we are delivering, and women’s experience with our front-line clinicians is critical. This is a unique opportunity to be one of the first clinicians to provide exceptional, compassionate care in appointments that allow the time and space to care for women while also helping to shape the future of digital healthcare in the UK and globally. It marks the beginning of a longer and important mission.

To join a healthtech startup this early on and genuinely change the future of healthcare is a career-defining opportunity and we can’t wait to see if you are a good fit to come and build with us!

What You'll Do

Clinical Care

  • Carry out comprehensive health screenings and clinical assessments.

  • Translate clinical findings into clear, practical recommendations.

  • Work closely with a wider clinical team to optimise patient pathways and ensure continuity and coordination of care.

  • Keep up to date with advances in diagnostics, preventive medicine, and clinical best practice.

  • Shape and improve our postnatal services, blending best practice with innovation.

  • Contribute as a senior GP across the service - mentoring, collaborating, and helping us raise the bar.

Governance (Patient Safety and Clinical Lead)

  • Contribute as a core member of the Governance Committee, strengthening accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Lead on patient safety, making sure our systems keep care safe, consistent and high-quality.

  • Oversee clinical governance and compliance with CQC, GMC and NICE standards.

  • Manage incident reviews and reporting, sharing lessons and driving improvements.

  • Act as the point of escalation for clinical safety concerns alongside the Registered Manager, supporting timely and fair resolution.

  • Mentor and guide the team on safety and quality, building a culture of openness and learning.

  • Monitor key safety data and use it to shape better care across the service.

  • GMC-registered GP with licence to practise

  • Passion for preventative medicine alongside traditional primary care.

  • Comfortable in digital-first healthcare: confident with telemedicine, and clinical IT.

  • Proven experience in clinical governance, patient safety leadership, or regulatory compliance (e.g. CQC, GMC, NICE).

  • Willingness to contribute actively to the Governance Committee and broader organisational leadership.

  • Confidence in incident reviews, risk management, and quality improvement processes.

What we offer:

  • You’re joining a winning team who closed their oversubscribed £2M pre-seed earlier this year, backed by investors such as Eka Ventures, Ascension and Blue Lion Capital

  • Hesta’s co-founders bring expertise across business, technology, and clinical care, with experience in the NHS, Airbnb, Babylon, and McKinsey & Company, alongside research at the University of Oxford and UCL.

  • A unique opportunity to join a HealthTech startup at day zero and help build the backbone of a healthcare service designed specifically for women and birthing parents

  • Join a small, mission-driven team where your contributions have immediate impact - we can actually change how healthcare is designed, delivered and scaled for women, here at Hesta Health!
