Clinical Lead

We are looking for an ambitious, exceptionally compassionate, and clinically excellent doctor to join as Clinical Lead

About Hesta Health

Hesta is creating a new benchmark in women’s health, delivering exceptional care at every life stage. As we advance towards this goal, we are committed to closing the women’s health gap, beginning with pregnancy and postnatal as our initial focus. 75 million years of women’s lives are lost every year due to poor health or early death. This gap limits potential, drives inequality, and reflects a healthcare system that wasn’t built for women. We are changing that.

About Hesta Health

Hesta Health is setting a new standard for women's health, starting with pregnancy and the two years after birth. We combine compassionate, evidence-based clinical care with digital tools to close the women's health gap and redesign care pathways for mothers and birthing parents.

75 million years of women's lives are lost every year due to poor health or early death. We are an early-stage HealthTech company, which means genuine ownership, genuine impact, and the chance to build something that does not yet exist.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an ambitious, exceptionally compassionate, and clinically excellent doctor to join as Clinical Lead. We welcome applications from GPs, specialists, and doctors whose backgrounds sit somewhere in between. What matters is clinical credibility, a genuine passion for women's health, the drive to build something better, and demonstrable excellence in previous roles.

This role combines clinical practice with real leadership responsibility. You will oversee the delivery of exceptional care, lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, and own the continuous improvement cycle, turning insights from care delivery into better pathways and better outcomes.

Why Hesta Health

75 million years of women's lives are lost every year due to poor health or early death. We are building the infrastructure to close that gap, starting with the postnatal period.

You will have real ownership, real influence, and the chance to help build a service that puts women at the centre of their own care.

  • Work alongside exceptional people from AI and product leaders to world-renowned clinical advisors, including experts in perinatal mental health, the former President of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, and founders of category-defining healthcare services.

  • Build and ship impactful healthcare products by collaborating across clinical, AI, engineering, and operations teams to create digital and in-person experiences that improve outcomes for postnatal women.

  • Help pioneer AI in healthcare delivery by applying cutting-edge technology to real-world healthcare problems in a fast-moving environment where innovation quickly reaches users.

  • Own meaningful problems end-to-end with high autonomy and responsibility, and the opportunity to shape strategy, product direction, and operational systems from the ground up.

  • Redesign healthcare with quality and regulation at the core in a company that treats clinical excellence, operational rigor, and regulatory standards as strategic advantages.

What You Will Do

Build the training and capability system

  • Design and own the clinical training framework, including induction, onboarding, and ongoing CPD

  • Build genuine expertise in the postnatal cohort across the clinical team, going beyond generic training

  • Develop competency frameworks, sign-off processes, and structured learning pathways

  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety

Co-develop and improve care pathways

  • Collaborate with product and clinical operations teams to inform and develop Hesta's digital product

  • Design, test, and iterate care pathways for in-person and digital modalities

  • Apply clinical expertise to pathway design and actually implement the changes you identify

  • Refine services based on patient and clinician feedback, data, and insights

  • Co-lead the design and continuous improvement of digital workflows to support safe, high-quality clinical delivery

  • Lead on incident management, risk identification, and improvement actions

  • Lead the complaints process, including review, investigation, escalation, and learning

  • Foster open communication and a culture of shared learning across the organisation

Deliver clinical care

  • Deliver patient-centred, thorough, and compassionate postnatal care; your communication skills must be second to none

  • Identify and manage common postnatal conditions in line with best practice and clinical guidelines

  • Translate diagnostic inputs, including bloods and other investigations, into clear and accessible insights for patients

  • Act as the clinical escalation lead for diagnostic uncertainty and urgent or emergency concerns

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records

  • Use insights from care delivery to inform ongoing refinement of pathways, services, and product
